Interim staff are employed by temping agencies to carry out tasks at the EU institutions on a temporary basis. They are not EU staff members. Interim staff cover a variety of manual, technical and other specific roles.

Permanent staff are members of the EU civil service appointed for an indefinite time. They constitute the core working force. There are three categories for permanent EU officials: Administrators (AD), Assistants (AST) and Secretaries/Clerks (AST/SC).

Passed the selection procedure? Here’s what happens next

Candidates who are selected are placed on a reserve list. If you’re on the list, you may be contacted directly by the EIT though inclusion on the list does not guarantee your recruitment. We encourage you to regularly consult updates on reserve list extensions which can occur depending on EIT needs

The processing of personal data of the candidates follows the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2018/1725 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October 2018 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data by the Union institutions, bodies, offices and agencies and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Regulation (EC) No 45/2001 and Decision No 1247/2002/EC1.
