The EIT is a body of the European Union.
Our mission is to increase European sustainable growth and
competitiveness by reinforcing the innovation capacity of the EU.

EIT Education for Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Europe’s need for highly skilled graduates, in particular Masters and PhDs, will continue to grow in the years to come. It is essential to prepare these future graduates for a learning society and provide them with the relevant skills and competencies- especially creative, entrepreneurial, and leadership skills and competencies - to foster the creation of new ideas and turn them into innovative products, services, processes and policies. To achieve this, Europe not only needs employees but also future employers and entrepreneurs.

Our educational vision and mission

Our educational vision is to foster a new generation of entrepreneurially and innovation minded people in Europe by delivering a unique brand of excellent education responsive to both business and societal demands, focused on creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship, which will be distinguished by an “EIT label”.

How do we work?

The EIT supports the development of innovative educational programmes at master, doctoral and post-doctoral levels in the fields of sustainable energy, future information and communication society and climate change by working together with the higher education institutions within its Knowledge and Innovation communities (KICs). Through the KICs, the EIT has the opportunity to act as a test-bed for future developments in this area.

The EIT is also inviting Master students to write their Master thesis in collaboration with EIT, on topics relating to the EIT's mission.
