The Project

• The idea

  We developed a monitoring device and the ecosystem behind it to automatically measure vital signs in non-intensive hospital wards, thereby allowing caregivers to remotely conduct check-ups for patients in a far more efficient way. The data and correlating diagnostics are displayed on an online platform, through which health workers remain informed in real-time, 24/7, of deteriorating cases.

• Inspiration

  We were inspired by the feedback from several doctors at a recent online hackathon to tackle COVID-19 challenges, stressing monitoring as a pressing issue.

• Unique selling points

  The wearable device that we developed is compact and simple for optimal patient comfort. It monitors the most important parameters to track a COVID-19 patient’s status, enabling the simultaneous monitoring of many patients.

• Societal impact

  Our solution improves accessibility to medical data, making diagnostics faster and more efficient. Patients will benefit from more attentive and smarter care from healthcare professionals.

• Sustainable Development Goals

  Through the improvement of patient comfort and working conditions, the innovation significantly contributes to the third UN SDG goal of good health and wellbeing.

• EIT Community support

  The very approachable EIT Health mentors we met throughout our journey were strong supporters of our projects. We are supported in the EIT Digital Innovation Activity by the KIC, as well as three partner companies and Eötvös Loránd University.
