The Project

• The idea

  The basis of the OTH platform is OpenTele, which was created as a joint regional project across Denmark, funded by the Danish government, with the explicit purpose of demonstrating the efficacy of large-scale Remote Health Management. Building upon that and incorporating a commercial dimension, OTH could be described as the LINUX of Telehealth - we build, deploy, and manage business as a service solution for remote healthcare monitoring.

• Inspiration

  Solutions for telehealth were too complex, non-standardised, and too expensive for any project to reach a positive return on investment. OTH is designed to address this issue.

• Unique selling points

  The very mature and ISO13485 certified platform provides “doctor designed” patient monitoring pathways, including 45+ measurement types, a high volume of processing capacity (50+ patients per nurse per hour), alerts, video conference options, automated deployment and monitoring worldwide and real-time statistics for any usage parameter on the platform.

• Societal impact

  If any data submitted daily or weekly by a patient deviate from acceptable parameters included in the monitoring process, the patient will be notified and processed before any serious condition manifests. Through this preventive solution, we contribute to more efficient health systems by comforting patients, minimising unnecessary hospital visits, and thereby diminishing the risk of contagious diseases.

• Venture development

  The next steps for OTH is to scale-up production and support, and to address the massive surge of interest in the OTH platform all over the world. The platform will be trimmed and optimised, UIs redesigned, and back-end processes automated.
