Emilia is a Founding Partner of ESPIRA Investments, a private equity firm targeting growth capital investments in SMEs based in Central Europe. An additional element of ESPIRA's investment philosophy is the focus on companies managed by balanced teams of men and women and, as such, ESPIRA is the first fund with a gender lens investment strategy in the region.
Prior to co-founding ESPIRA, Emilia was a Head of Czech Republic and Slovakia with PineBridge Investments CEE, a Central European private equity firm managing over EUR 500 million. Earlier in her career, Emilia was a member of the investment teams of Benson Oak Capital and Penta member of the investment committee of Tilia Impact Ventures, the first social impact fund in the Czech Republic. In November 2020, Emilia was named on Real Deals Future 40 Diversity and Inclusion Leaders list.
Emilia graduated with honours with an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and holds a master's degree in Finance from Matej Bel University in Slovakia.
