EIT Climate-KIC Two-Day Masterclass: Values and Ethics for Entrepreneurs

How do business leaders in today’s world act not only successfully but also ethically?  What role do morality, values and norms play as entrepreneurs make everyday decisions, and how are these different from interests?

The purpose of this EIT Climate-KIC Masterclass is to offer practical tools for ethical decision-making, drawn from the great philosophers, and apply them to your real-world dilemmas.  Along the way, we will have a special look at cultural divides, especially considering the challenges of dealing with Silicon Valley thinking. The course will be highly interactive and practical, even playful.

The Masterclass focuses on gearing participants with the essential knowledge, skills and tools to successfully apply ethical values to their decision making.

Who should attend?

The Masterclass is designed for entrepreneurs, founders, senior executives, HR professionals and those who believe ethical thinking lies at the heart of leadership, as well as determining the future success of any enterprise. Participants should also be open to engaging in honest self-reflection.

This class is open to all Accelerator start-ups, as well as alumni and EIT Climate-KIC partners.

After the two-day session, participants will be able to:

  • Converse knowledgeably about the key concepts of business ethics
  • Apply at least four philosophical “lenses” to their ethical decision making
  • Successfully apply these concepts to real-world decisions
  • Have a deeper understanding of their own value system and ethical compass.
