Climate-KIC Contextual Learning Journey 2011

The aim of the Climate Knowledge and Innovation Community (Climate-KIC) is to be at the forefront of this "green revolution", providing the innovations, entrepreneurship, education and expert guidance needed to shape Europe's climate change agenda.
Climate-KIC was designated as a Knowledge and Innovation Community by the EIT's Governing Board on the 16 December 2009 in Budapest. The priority area which the KIC addresses is climate change mitigation and adaptation.
65 international students enrolled in European universities have embarked on the 2011 Climate-KIC Education Programme.
The two Climate-KIC Contextual Learning Journeys (CLJ) were the first part of the Climate-KIC Scholar and Fellow Programme 2011, which continues with a series of inspirational lectures and innovation projects, and is rewarded with a certificate labelled by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology.
During this year's two journeys, the students met and exchanged ideas with members of the corporate, academic and public worlds in France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, and the UK, and learned about the many facets of mitigating and adapting to climate change and, in particular, how to make business cases from arising opportunities.
This short film gives a flavour of this journey.
