EIT Health-supported Premedit set to launch new version of Running Care app
Premedit, an EIT Health-supported start-up, announced that it is ready to launch an improved version of the mobile application Running Care in May.
Using medical science, predictive analysis, and artificial intelligence, Premedit harnesses medical and sport data to offer better access to sports medicine knowledge in both B2C and B2B perspectives.
Premedit's first product Running Care is the first E-health solution dedicated to running. Based on a mobile application backed with a data analysis platform, Running Care helps runners to predict, prevent and manage their pains and injuries. Connected to existing running apps, Running Care enriches the user experience from a medical perspective thanks to the delivery of personalised health advice and programmes.
Thanks to its digital platform, Premedit is also developing a range of B2C and B2B2C services:
- Affiliation of sport and healthcare products
- Integration with other running apps / services
- Contents platform for non-healthcare professionals
- Sports medicine data analytics
- Promotion and awareness related to sport and health issues / events
The ambition of this start-up is to support and to accompany sports practices to ensure it always remains a source of wellness and pleasure.

After an experimentation period led in 2017, Premedit is about to launch an updated and improved version of the mobile application Running Care, in May 2018. This new version has been developed in close collaboration with runners and is the result of more than 18 months of research and development. The app has already been selected among the "six innovations not to miss" of the Salon du Running of Paris in 2018 (The first Running Show in France with almost 100 000 visitors).
As of now, the Premedit team is focused on the launch of the mobile application and the development of partnerships in B2B and B2B2C. The objective is to go further with extended health services with telemedicine or a specific CE marked product for health professionals. Premedit also plans to transpose their model to other sports.
In 2017, Premedit qualified for the semi-finale of EIT Health's Catapult Programme. According to the Premedit team, it was an outstanding experience of coaching that allowed them to mature and make progress.
As a digital health start-up, EIT Health France has helped Premedit by bringing relevant and challenging comments on their strategy. EIT Health can further help Premedit by supporting their R&D and market development internationally so that they can accomplish their ambitious goals for the project.
