Swati is the Co-founder and CEO of Arboreal Innovations – an award-winning plant biotechnology & bio-nutritional food products company. Arboreal is backed by leading global investors and angels from UK, Ireland, France, Qatar and India, and is currently focused on manufacturing and marketing Stevia (a zero-calorie natural sweetener) based functional products globally with the goal to eliminate Type-2 diabetes. At Arboreal, Swati is working with plants, farmers and scientists to build India’s first vertically integrated Stevia company. Swati’s prior professional experience includes international stints in VC, Investments, Consulting and O&G sectors in EU, UK, Singapore and India, where she has worked with INFUSE Ventures, DNV GL, Generation Investment Management, BP Alternative Energy Ventures and Halliburton. Her areas of active interest are Sustainability, Plant Biotechnology, Agri Tech and Clean Tech.
Swati was recently selected as the Asia-Pacific Laureate at the Cartier Women's Initiative Awards 2018, adjudged by Cartier, Mckinsey, and INSEAD Business School. She is a Mechanical Engineer from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad and holds a Master’s degree in Sustainable Energy from Imperial College London, where she was a Commonwealth Scholar and an EIT Climate-KIC Scholar. In her free time, she likes to read, paint and dance.
