EIT: Our Impact from 2010 to 2016

The primary objective of this study is to analyse the global and European socio-economic impact of the EIT and its Knowledge Innovation Communities (KICs) from 2010 till 2016. With existing reviews mostly focusing on results and efficiency, this study sets out to look beyond those results and structure the achievements of the EIT Community in terms of impact.

The impact of the EIT Community can be structured in five distinctive development phases of the EIT Community: Mobilise, Build, Deliver, Recognise and Impact at Scale. These phases can be linked to respectively the Input, Activities, Output, Outcome and Impact steps of the “results chain” approach to measure cause-and-effect, with the advantage of linking the achievements to progress over time.
