European Battery Alliance: Industrial Policy

This document contains the official information regarding activities done during 2020 related to Industrial Policy for the European Battery Industry, which refers to the complete value chain from mining for raw materials and all the way through to recycling of used batteries. In this document, there will be specific focus on the general activities analyzed on a high level to show the progress during the year 2020. Furthermore, four examples of actions linked to industrial policy for the European Battery Industry are described. The actions described on high level are: • Participation in the technical work of updating the Batteries PEFCR “High energy rechargeable batteries for mobile applications” • Information on the new regulatory framework to the European battery industry • Creation of MEP group Friends of Batteries • Action to accelerate the European Battery Alliance
