EIT Entrepreneurship Awards

As a driver and key element in combining the different areas of the knowledge triangle and in developing new innovation models, entrepreneurship is at the very heart of the EIT vision and activities. Boosting and encouraging individuals and companies to embrace innovation and take it to the market is among the EIT’s top priorities.

The EIT Entrepreneurship Awards aim to celebrate and encourage the start-up companies and the entrepreneurs behind them by putting the spotlight on selected entrepreneurial start-ups in a venture competition.

The First EIT Entrepreneurship Awards will be granted on 21 February 2011 at ‘Start-up! The European entrepreneurship summit’ and awards ceremony at the Royal Academy of Science in Brussels, Belgium.  Nine very promising companies have been nominated by the KICs in the fields of climate change adaptation and mitigation, future information & communication society, and sustainable energy.
