EIT students win at Energy Efficiency Hack 2017
On March 6 2017 the German Business Association for Energy Efficiency (DENEFF), organised Europe's first Energy Efficiency Hack in cooperation with several companies, including EIT InnoEnergy and the EIT Climate-KIC. The Hack took place in Berlin to develop new ideas, concepts and prototypes to successfully tackle the Energy transformation.
The #eehack2017 was aimed at students from all fields and attracted a large number of EIT InnoEnergy students from several of the EIT InnoEnergy Master’s School programmes such as ENTECH, RENE or Energy for Smart Cities.
The three challenges were:
- Making heating smart for everyone, powered by Danfoss.
- Ensuring electricians pick the more sustainable parts for retrofits, powered by Sonepar and co2online.
- Making energy consumption data actionable for industrial managers, powered by Veolia and Ökotec.
Several of the winning teams included EIT InnoEnergy students, for example Swaroop Rao, Dev Mishra, Giulio D’Ambrosio and Adam Nagy.
