Altris (Sweden), is revolutionising sustainable battery technology. Altris specialises in sodium-ion batteries. Fennac®, their cathode material, offers competitive battery performance with lower production cost, ideal for energy storage systems and light electric vehicles. EIT InnoEnergy has played a pivotal role in Altris' journey through their programme supporting IP strategy, equity investments, and strategic partnerships. The company has already secured substantial funding in a Series A round.
The closing of the EUR 9.6 M Series A financing round in April 2022 was a testimony of how relevant Altris can be in the future, especially since Northvolt, a market-leading supplier of green batteries, participated substantially to the investment round.
