On 17 September 2026, the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) and the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) invite you to an informative webinar to learn more about the European Prize for Women Innovators. 

The European Prize for Women Innovators is an initiative powered by the European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT) and the European Innovation Council (EIC). It celebrates the outstanding achievements of women entrepreneurs from across the EU and countries associated with Horizon Europe who are driving positive change for people and the planet through their innovative ventures.

If you're considering joining the competition but feel that you need more information, this webinar is for you! Get ready to apply for the 2027 European Prize for Women Innovators by joining us online on 17 September 2026, from 11.00 to 12.00 CEST. During this one-hour session, we will: 

• explore the application and award procedures for each prize category;

• hear a testimonial from a winner of the 2026 European Prize for Women Innovators;

• receive tips on preparing prize applications from a former jury member.

Prize categories 

The EIT and EIC look forward to welcoming the next cohort of women innovators, who will be awarded with up to €100 000 in monetary prizes across three categories:  

• EIC Women Innovators category: Open to all women founders and co-founders from the EU and countries associated with Horizon Europe. Three prizes of €100 000, €70 000 and €50 000 will be awarded to the three highest-ranked applications.

• EIC Rising Innovators category: For promising young innovators under the age of 35.  Three prizes of €50 000, €30 000 and €20 000 will be awarded to the three highest-ranked applications.

• EIT Women Leadership category: Focused on women with a direct link to the EIT Community and its Knowledge and Innovation Communities. Three prizes of €50 000, €30 000 and €20 000 will be awarded to the three highest-ranked applications.
