Commissioner Gabriel visit to EIT Headquarters in Budapest

On 28 October 2021, the European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, Mariya Gabriel visited the headquarters of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) to discuss the role of the EIT in strengthening European innovation capacity and boosting regional innovation.

Commissioner Gabriel was introduced to innovators from the EIT Community, entrepreneurs and investors from Hungary, and took part in an innovation tour showcasing products supported by the EIT Community. As part of her visit, Commissioner Gabriel also had the chance to tour the newly opened EIT Community Hub in Budapest where she met innovators supported by the EIT Community and learned more about the Hub’s core programmes and acceleration services.
