EIT Awards 2013: competition open!

Celebrating innovation and entrepreneurship!

A central part of the EIT’s mission is to create the framework that allows a fresh entrepreneurship culture to flourish – both as a mindset and an activity. In order to support this mission, the EIT organises an annual award competition, a conference and ceremony, in collaboration with its three Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs): Climate-KIC, EIT ICT Labs and KIC InnoEnergy.
In 2013, the EIT Award will be given in two categories: Next Generation of Entrepreneurs and Change Agents (CH.A.N.G.E) and Ventures.

• The EIT Change Agents and Next Generation of Entrepreneurs (CH.A.N.G.E.) Award puts the spotlight on young entrepreneurial talent from EIT-labelled and KIC education and training programmes for their achievements in entrepreneurship, intrapreneurship and innovation. It will be awarded for an innovative idea, project, process, new business model, service or product initiated and/or implemented in practice by an individual, that showcases the pro-active attitude and entrepreneurial drive which was facilitated by EIT KIC educational activities and which resulted in change. This award will serve as an additional incentive for entrepreneurship-driven innovation at EIT KIC student and alumni levels. This competition is open to KIC alumni and students until 31 August 2013.
• The EIT Venture Award, will showcase entrepreneurial undertakings emerging from the KICs and support them in their further development. The award aims to provide nominated ventures with an opportunity to access established management know-how, to open up to new markets, and to raise venture capital financing especially for scaling up their business operations and sales. Please note: This competition is closed.
