Young entrepreneurs present their start-up ideas in front of experts

On 30 January 2020, EIT InnoEnergy Master’s in Energy Transition students had the opportunity to present their commercial proposals in front of specialised career coaches and industry experts as part of an exciting entrepreneurial workshop. 23 students from all over the world formed eight teams and were asked to come up with their start-up idea, put together a business plan as well as prepare an interesting pitch.

This year’s proposals were focused on innovative parking approach, energy usage, cooling car solutions, air pollutions problems, etc.

Innovation & Entrepreneurship Journey

Already having participated in business planning classes that are included as part of students’ Innovation & Entrepreneurship Journey during their studies meant that all of the students were well-equipped to participate in the challenge. From brainstorming an innovative idea to market analysis, EIT InnoEnergy Master students also receive an extra support from their professors to guide them in the right direction. In order to make the fun challenge more realistic, students had to present in front of 'investors' who would test them with tough questions, making it a real Dragons' Den type of experience.

Master’s in Energy Transition programme organises and delivers wide variety of innovative workshops with career advisors and coaches such as this one to help students find the right place and the right role to create the biggest impact.
