EIT Food is looking for early-stage agri-food start-ups from Southern and Eastern Europe to join the Innovation Prizes competition.
Most innovative start-ups can win up to EUR 5 000 in regional finals and up to EUR 25 000 in the Grand Final.
Open to early-stage entrepreneurs and start-ups
EIT RIS Innovation Prizes is one of the largest start-up competitions in the agri-food vertical in Southern and Eastern Europe. EIT Food is looking for early-stage entrepreneurs and companies with innovative products or services that could transform the European agri-food sector.
The prizes are awarded to most innovative companies to support the development of new products and services which can help transform the food system, making it healthier, more sustainable and more trusted.
This year, EIT RIS Innovation Prizes are open to early-stage entrepreneurs and start-ups from 17 countries in Southern and Eastern Europe: Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Italy (only certain regions), Latvia, Lithuania, Poland (only certain regions), Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain (only certain regions) and Turkey.
The prizes will be distributed at 17 regional finals with the three best start-ups taking EUR 1 000, EUR 3 000 and EUR 5 000 in each final. In addition to the cash prizes, participating start-ups will benefit from access to investors, high-quality training and the community of mentors and experts.
The competition will conclude with the Grand Final during which the 1st prize winners from all 17 countries will compete for three main prizes: EUR 10 000 and EUR 15 000 and EUR 25 000.
