Michael Peters

Michael Peters has been the CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board of Euronews since 2011. He has been at Euronews since 1998. Born in Germany, of Franco-German nationality, Peters graduated from EM Lyon Business School and from IAE Lyon III. He began his career working for the international auditing firm Arthur Andersen. In 2017, Peters transformed Euronews’s historical model into a 12-edition multimedia platform. Euronews became the world’s first ‘Glocal’ news brand, tailoring global news to local audiences. That same year, Peters closed a deal with NBC News to increase Euronews’ capacity to produce original programming and engage in cutting-edge news gathering. Under his leadership, Euronews group launched Africanews in Spring 2016.
