The 7th European Innovation Summit will set the stage for the future of innovation in Europe. Taking place from 7-9 December 2015 in the European Parliament in Brussels, the 3 days event will call for a Pact for Innovation. The objective of the “Pact for Innovation” is to develop an ambitious vision of what innovation can do for the EU economy and society. The future-oriented bottom-up approach of the Pact will unite a group of local, regional, national and EU innovation stakeholders.

As part of the Summit, the EIT is organising a Breakfast Debate "EIT and its Knowledge and Innovation Communities: making innovation happen!" hosted by Lambert van Nistelrooij (MEP and Chair of the K4I Forum Governing Board).

Following a short introduction, the 2015 EIT CHANGE Award Winner Govinda Upadhyay (EIT Labelled KIC InnoEnergy Master programme graduate and co-founder of LED Safari, a Climate-KIC supported venture), will share his personal experiences with the participants. EIT and KIC representatives will discuss with the audience:

  • achievements to date;
  • plans for financial sustainability;
  • potential synergies with other EU initiatives and programmes;
  • opportunities to collaborate; and
  • future challenges.

Time: Wednesday, 9 December, 2015 - 08:00 to 09:00
Venue: European Parliament | Members' Salon

The full programme of the 7th EIS focuses on key-challenges and opportunities in the field of innovation.
