Interested in climate innovation, clean-tech and circular electronics? Are you an entrepreneur, an accomplished professional, a young starter, or a student? You’re more than welcome to join the SPARK! Lecture of EIT Climate-KIC Benelux!

New year, new SPARK!

With great joy, we would like to invite you to the first of our SPARK! events of this year, where we will be discussing the implementation of Circular Economy and the achievement of positive climate impact along the electronics value chain. What better place to hold this event than Fairphone’s creative workspace, located inside one of the famous Pakhuizen of Amsterdam!

Challenges of the electronics industry

A panel of expert speakers of the field will share their experiences, providing us with great insights regarding the current challenges that the electronics industry is facing and what will be the potential circular solutions in the way forward. Sustainable procurement, design for disassembly and e-waste management will certainly be in the agenda!

  • 19:45-20:30    Breakout sessions: Workgroups lead by the panelists will develop and present their proposals for “The 10 commandments of Circular Electronics”

Experts Line-up

Miquel Ballester – Product Manager and Fairphone co-founder

Closing the Loop – nominated as one of The Netherlands’ top-5 Social Enterprises by Chivas – the Venture; they are helping organizations reduce their mobile footprint.

Gerrard Street – a very promising EIT Climate-KIC startup, developing circular consumer products; first of which, high-end headphones via a lease construction with regular updates and repair service.

You will also have the opportunity to meet and connect with members of the entire EIT Climate-KIC community – including members of our Alumni Association – as well as other like-minded professionals, entrepreneurs and students! EIT Climate-KIC Education

EIT Climate-KIC Education offers added value to Master’s and Ph.D. degree programmes at the best academic institutions across Europe as well as an annual summer school.
