"Collaboration in Digital Innovation for Sustainable Societies"

Collaboration is essential to meet the challenges of sustainable societies, be it in digital trust and integrity issues, robust infrastructure, solutions for smart industry and healthcare, in education and up-skilling professional competences as well as accelerating new innovations to the marketplace.

On December 7, EIT Digital Co-location Centre (CLC) in Stockholm invites stakeholders from industry, research, academia, the public sector and tech start-up scene to share insights and learn from the outcomes of pan-European activities that in various ways drive digital transformation in Europe.

The Sweden Innovation Day features a key note speech, panel seminars, matchmaking and demos.

Under the main theme of the day, Collaboration in Digital Innovation for Sustainable Societies, we look forward to a key note speech on Asymmetric collaboration between traditional industry and deep-tech scale-ups, followed by a panel with representatives from Chalmers, Teyi, Ignite Sweden and EIT Digital Professional School.

Several Swedish innovative scale-ups and SME’s have had the opportunities of testing their solutions in the partnership of EIT Digital pan-European innovation activities. In the demo area participants will be able to combine lunch with networking and the latest results from the areas of Digital Infrastructure, Digital Industry, Digital Wellbeing, Digital Cities and the new innovation area of Digital Fintech.

At the CLC in the Electrum building in Kista the students from the EIT Digital Master School will be pitching their thesis proposals to problems posed by partners and companies in the Swedish innovation ecosystem. If you are interested in our online and Professional School offers, this is also the chance to learn more about the latest courses in e.g. Smart Cities, Digital Transformation and Cybersecurity.

In the afternoon session a panel will try to answer if “GDPR - can it enable Digital Trust?” and how do design for innovation taking these aspects in consideration from the start. Hear experts from industry, business and academia will give their perspectives on what we should integrate to better ensure good management of privacy, integrity and security issues.

To wrap up the day the finalists of the IoT Hack Challenge will pitch to an expert jury. The teams have been trying to break and improve the generic Internet of Things platform ACTIVE during a two month challenge from October to December. The best ideas from the IoT and Big Data Summer schools will also present and share their continued advances in Innovation & Entrepreneurship, solving real world problems for more sustainable societies.

We hope you will join us and take the opportunity to network, learn, grow partnerships and extend the ecosystem efforts to Europe and further. Please register now and indicate any special food requirements.
