EIT Raw Materials for the Green Transition Event

Europe must start urgently diversifying supply of its critical raw materials sources to produce clean energy.

EIT RawMaterials, a key actor to advance Europe’s transition to a sustainable economy, and the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) School of Mines will host a panel discussion on the potential of Spain for responsible mining and metallurgy.

The conference will serve to inform both Spanish policy makers and industry representatives about the relevant aspects of the European Raw Materials Alliance (ERMA) and its opportunities, as well as highlighting the importance of raw materials for the European industry and the potential of Spain to have a prominent role in securing raw materials for the green transition.

EIT RawMaterials is honoured to welcome the Spanish State Secretary of Energy, Ministry of Ecological Transition, Sara Agesen Munoz, and Raül Blanco, Secretary of Industries and SMEs, Ministry of Industry, to highlight the strategic importance of raw materials in Europe. In Madrid on April 5.
