On 09 December 2019, the EIT Hub Tel Aviv will hold its official launch to introduce key stakeholders to this new resource, which will support EU-Israeli cooperation for innovation.

The launch will be held in the heart of Tel Aviv, with participation of prominent guests from both the European Union and Israeli innovation ecosystems, including Emanuele Giaufret, EU Ambassador to Israel; Rolf Nagel, EIT Governing Board Member; Martin Kern, EIT Director; Jan-Philipp-Beck, CEO at EIT Health; and Kirsten Dunlop, CEO at EIT Climate. All representatives of this delegation will participate in a panel discussion focused on the EIT model and EIT Hub activities.

EIT Hub Tel Aviv is part of the EIT Global Outreach programme, which promotes international cooperation and has established joint EIT Community offices in Silicon Valley and now Tel Aviv (activities in Beijing are also under consideration). The resulting partnerships will develop innovative products and services, establish new companies, and train a new generation of entrepreneurs. The EIT Hub in Israel is expected to expand the EIT Community’s presence and volume of activities in the country, in particular in the area of business support. Israel's vibrant innovation ecosystem has already drawn the interest of EIT Health, EIT Food and EIT Urban Mobility, which are present in the country through their Israeli partners.
