Image

23 September 14:00 - 14:45 - This session will give participants the chance to learn more about, and discuss, the EIT Community’s work to deliver Artificial Intelligence (AI) innovation as presented in a policy report.

The report analyses they key issues and opportunities presented by the deployment of AI in Europe. It draws on scientific and policy literature and the views of experts, including from the five participating EIT Knowledge and Innovation Communities (EIT Digital, EIT Health, EIT Manufacturing, EIT Urban Mobility, and EIT Climate-KIC).

Starting from the background and policy context, the session will move on to highlight the critical aspects of AI. Four scenarios will be proposed, serving as a basis to discuss possible policy levers for addressing the concerns and exploiting AI opportunities in Europe.

The session will take place in the context of the EU Research & Innovation Days, the European Commission’s annual flagship event, which brings together policymakers, researchers, entrepreneurs and citizens to debate and shape the future of research and innovation in Europe.
