Bill Gates lists EIT Climate-KIC's Climeworks on 2019 Breakthrough Technologies list

EIT Climate-KIC Climeworks

Bill Gates was invited to be the first guest curator of the MIT Technology Review's 10 Breakthrough Technologies.

Climeworks, supported by EIT Climate-KIC, was listed as one of three key players in 'catching' carbon dioxide from the air and storing it safely.

The article reports that 'Zurich-based Climeworks’s direct air capture plant in Italy will produce methane from captured carbon dioxide and hydrogen, while a second plant in Switzerland will sell carbon dioxide to the soft-drinks industry.'
