EIT Health - The Clinical Innovation Fellowships open for applicants

An EIT Health Campus Flagship Initiative, the Clinical Innovation Fellowships, is now open for applicants. It is a joint programme by Karolinska Institutet (KI), the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and Stockholm County Council (SLL), inspired by and in cooperation with Stanford University. The Fellowships programme offers participants a unique opportunity to specialise in clinical innovation and to work together in highly skilled, interdisciplinary teams of medical doctors, engineers, designers and management school graduates.

What is the Clinical Innovation Fellowships Programme?
This eight-month programme is aimed at strengthening the Healthcare Innovation Environment in Europe in general and in Stockholm in particular. We educate the future innovators in healthcare and create strong innovator networks. At the core of the program lies a six-weeks intensive period during which the fellow candidates are immersed into a real healthcare setting. Teams of four candidates follow the daily activity in that setting, looking for needs and challenges, with the ultimate aim of developing new solutions that improve healthcare.

The 7th edition will run from 1 September 2016 to 30 April 2017. At the core of the programme, lies a six-week intensive period during which the fellow candidates are immersed into a real healthcare setting. Teams of four candidates follow the daily activity in that setting, looking for needs and challenges, with the ultimate aim of developing new solutions that improve healthcare. Candidates that complete the programme successfully are rewarded with the academic title of Clinical Innovation Fellow at both Karolinska Institutet and KTH.
