EIT Launches Two New Guides to Showcase Innovation and Business Creation Impact
EITThe European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) has published two key reports: the EIT KICs Innovation Guide 2025 and the EIT KICs Business Creation Guide 2025.
Together, these publications provide a clear overview of how the EIT and its nine Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) are tackling societal challenges and supporting Europe’s priorities on green, digital and competitive transformation. They highlight the impact of innovation projects and startups created or supported by each KIC, share success stories, showcase awards, outline future outlooks, and also present cross-KIC collaboration activities.
Systemic Innovation: Delivering Impact Across Europe
The EIT KICs Innovation Guide 2025 highlights how the EIT and its nine KICs deliver high-impact, system-driven innovation across Europe. With a unique model that integrates innovation, business creation and education, the EIT plays a central role in strengthening Europe’s competitiveness, sustainability and resilience. Since 2014, EIT-supported projects have launched over 2,400 market-ready innovations and attracted €4.83 billion in private investment, achievements which were catalysed by €1.46 billion in EIT funding.
Business Creation: Empowering Europe’s Entrepreneurs
The EIT KICs Business Creation Guide 2025 focuses on how the EIT Community supports startups, scaleups and entrepreneurs at every stage of their journey. With more than 9,900 companies supported – resulting in the creation of unicorns and companies worth €71.2 billion – the EIT’s business creation programmes play a vital role in Europe’s innovation ecosystem. The guide outlines how these efforts contribute to EU-wide objectives such as the European Innovation Agenda and the Startup and Scaleup Strategy.
