The Ecosummit Award 2013 brings publicity and prize money to the best early and late stage smart green start-ups. Climate-KIC is official partner of the 2013 Ecosummit in Berlin.

A total of over 30 start-ups have been nominated at the time of publication, all Climate-KIC partners are encouraged to nominate additional start-up companies.

Climate-KIC Workshop

On the first day of the conference, Climate-KIC will organise an “Accelerating Early Stage Cleantech Start-ups in Europe” workshop. The session will be moderated by Ingo Potthof of Climate-KIC’s Munich partner UnternehmerTUM Fund, one of Climate-KIC Germany’s partner institutions.

Aaron Best, Climate-KIC European Programme Manager Incubation, and Franka Birke, Entrepreneurship Lead Climate-KIC Germany will present Climate-KIC. The workshop will be recorded for Ecosummit TV on YouTube.

The conference will take place at Radialsystem V, a new creative space for the arts in Berlin. Formerly a turn of the century pumping station, it currently functions as a cultural centre where new ideas ‘radiate’ out in all directions, attracting artists and the public from within as well as beyond the city limits of Berlin.
