KIC InnoEnergy: Gold medal & Best Inventor 2014 in e-Health

On Monday, the 6th of October, the KTH/Uppsala University team, consisting of Max Mohammadhassan Mohammadi and Ali Mohammadi (MSc ENTECH) won the Gold medal and the “Best Inventor 2014” award in eHealth at the World’s Digital Health Forum for their invention, CAD Detector!

CAD Detector helps screen and diagnose several types of diseases including heart disease and cancer at a significantly earlier stage and in a much faster way by using artificial intelligence.

The motivation for receiving this honor was mentioned as inventing a smart service design by utilizing the patient data and combining it quantified-self trend which can be considered as a disruptive innovation in Medicine and Healthcare.

The results were announced at the Life Science Open Innovation Symposium in Paris on the same day the Nobel Prize Winner in Medicine was announced.
