KIC InnoEnergy: More than 100 applications for MSc RenE in four weeks

The KIC InnoEnergy Master School opened its first round of applications on January 2nd, 2013. As a novelty, the 2013 includes a centralised system in which students can apply simultaneously for up to three InnoEnergy master’s programmes.

Application Round No. 1, primarily oriented at non-European applicants, but open to all, will be open from January 2 to February 28, 2013 whilst Application Round No. 2, primarily oriented at European applicants, but open to all, will open on March 1st, and will close on April 30th 2013.

Between January 2nd and January 27th around 370 applicants registered on the InnoEnergy applications’ website. Figures show that only around 10% are European applicants. The most popular masters programs are MSc RenE (30%), and MSc ENTECH (14%).

These preliminary results allow MSc RenE managers to be optimistic with regards to achieving the target established for the 2013 intake, that is, between 400 and 500 applications. Nevertheless, an effort must still be done to attract more European applicants during the 2nd round of applications.
