Last chance to apply for the start-up programme of EIT InnoEnergy and Veolia

U-Start by Veolia and EIT InnoEnergy

Energy start-ups have until 31 March to submit their proposals for EIT InnoEnergy and Veolia programme.

European energy start-ups targeting the German market are reminded to apply for the joint accelerator programme of EIT InnoEnergy and Veolia Germany. The programme combines EIT InnoEnergy's Highway® offering with Veolia’s U-START programme.

The joint programme aims to support start-ups with sustainable ideas in the field of energy efficiency, energy transition and low carbon economy. It offers entrepreneurs an outstanding opportunity to drive their product development. EIT InnoEnergy and Veolia Germany are looking for start-ups with solutions related to the following topics:

  • Energy efficiency: optimisation management, energy recovery
  • Energy revolution and low carbon economy: waste-to-energy, power storage, CO2 recycling
  • Industry 4.0: energy management, smart metering, data acquisition, blockchain

This special offering within the EIT InnoEnergy Highway® provides successful participants with industrial mentoring and co-development from Veolia Germany and its U-Start programme.

The supporting package includes the following:

  • Financial support of InnoEnergy & Veolia
  • Business and legal coaching by InnoEnergy
  • Industrial mentoring by Veolia Germany (support of market studies, prototypes)
  • First validation tests on over 200 sites of Veolia Germany
  • Co-working with a global company and access to Veolia’s network
  • Offices in the start-up ecosystem of the EUREF campus in Berlin
  • Coaches and mentoring of Veolia and InnoEnergy
  • Support with the acquisition of new customers

A total of five start-up teams will be selected after which Veolia and EIT InnoEnergy will work with them for a two-year incubation period.
