Two awards for Climate-KIC start-ups at Silicon Valley Cleantech Open global forum

Climate-KIC start-ups Efficient City Farming and Eternal Sun have both won a Global Ideas Award at the Cleantech Open global forum in San Jose, Silicon Valley yesterday (20 November).

The start-ups are currently in the US as part of Climate-KIC’s 2013 Start-up Tour, and were given the chance to present themselves to the highly valuable network of the Cleantech Open accelerator.

Both companies won the global award for most promising start-up in their respective categories.

Winning this award is just a great acknowledgement. Not only will it open the right doors for us, the Cleantech Open is internationally known as the most prestigious clean-tech award. In front of a room full of Silicon Valley venture capitalists and clean-tech experts, Eternal Sun and Efficient City Farming pitched their product, the developments of their company and the future chances. In a intensive session with the jury, some insightful questions were answered.
