2025 Accelerators Call

Applications to the three Market Readiness Accelerator programmes are now open.

Developed by consortia of companies selected by EIT Urban Mobility based on excellence and expertise, accelerators serve as a vital push for startups seeking to upskill, improve and create the next generation of mobility solutions. These programmes, which cater to specific needs are specialities of mobility startups, are:

With the accelerator programmes, we select visionary startups that address critical mobility challenges with scalable, innovative solutions and we empower them to transform urban mobility and create lasting impact across Europe and beyond. Each accelerator is led by consortia with the expertise to deliver the highest quality programme to the participants, often bringing expertise on urban mobility, sustainability, and the cities of tomorrow

The Accelerate2Move Accelerator  

This accelerator supports startups and scale-ups generating solutions in advanced technologies (AI, Blockchain, 5G, vehicle-2-everything [V2X] and Internet of Things) that can contribute to sustainable urban mobility. Each year, 12 companies are chosen to participate in this programme which includes one-on-one mentoring, workshops, networking and a fully paid face-to-face summer BootCamp.

The accelerator is run by: North-West Croatia Regional Energy and Climate Agency (Croatia), Poslovna Inteligencija (Croatia), LMT (Latvia), VEFRESH (Latvia), Ljubljana University Incubator (Slovenia), Innovation Centre Nikola Tesla (Croatia).

Accelerate2Move was a way to enter other markets and learn about them, while doing market research and meeting people from different ecosystems.

Like many companies, VivaDrive has applied to and taken part in more than one of EIT Urban Mobility’s programmes and supports. For startups who excel in the accelerator programme, it can lead to other opportunities with EIT Urban Mobility. In the case of VivaDrive, having been selected for the Future Mobility Accelerator in 2023, the company also received an investment as part of the Startup investments in the same year, while in 2024 was selected for the SME Market Expansion Call.  

Better Mobility Accelerator

The Better Mobility Accelerator has the goal to support startups developing innovative mobility solutions and business models tailored to the mobility needs of diverse user groups. The focus of the Better Mobility Accelerator is inclusivity, especially the improvement of physical and geographical accessibility for a wide range of target groups, currently without access, underserved, or vulnerable communities. The Better Mobility Accelerator is part of the Better Mobility Ecosystem which aims to achieve accessibility, affordability, safety, and sustainability for all. 

The programme has allowed us to actively find partners and end users that we can speak and collaborate with to gather more data and insights

The accelerator is run by: Impact Hub Vienna (Austria), POINT& – Punkt vor Strich GmbH (Austria), Ocean Strategy Unipessoal Lda (Portugal).  

Smart Mobility Accelerator  

Designed for future leaders in the transportation and smart mobility revolution, the Smart Mobility Accelerator programme offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to help startups and scale-ups establish their company in the smart mobility ecosystem.

In this programme, participants will learn from experienced industry experts and gain access to resources such as mentorship, funding channels and networking opportunities.  

The accelerator is run by: Drive Tlv (Israel), Startup Autobahn by Plug and Play (Germany) and MobilityXlab (Sweden). 

Application process 

The deadline for applications is 21 April 2025. Applicants submitting a full application before 14 April 12:00h (CEST) can benefit from a short call with a consortium partner to attend questions related to the programme and their application.
