More than 200 participants join EIT Urban Mobility Partners’ Day 2024

The 2024 edition of EIT Urban Mobility’s Partners Day took place in Prague on 12-13 March, celebrating five years of driving innovation to shape the future of urban mobility.

214 participants came together to discover, engage and explore our rich community and learn about the latest insights and opportunities available within the wider EIT Urban Mobility network.

The event opened with a welcome from CEO Maria Tsavachidis, who looked back over the journey from 49 founding partners in 2019 to a diverse, vibrant community today of over 250 partners in more than 80 cities and regions across 35 European countries.

She highlighted that as no single organisation can innovate alone, given the enormous speed and scale that is required to transition to sustainable urban mobility, ecosystems are crucial to allow us to break silos and create synergies to successfully deploy new solutions. The EIT Urban Mobility extended community of more than 950 stakeholders provides a unique opportunity to connect, implement change and to truly make impact in transforming the way we live and move in cities.

A packed two-day agenda included keynote speeches from Ondřej Profant, Vice Prime Minister for Digitalisation in the Czech Republic, and Rikesh Shah of Innovation Today, as well as roundtable discussions, workshops, speed networking and a deep dive into some of the opportunities available within EIT Urban Mobility this year.

The opportunity was also taken to host a small Demo Corner showcasing some of our supported start-ups from the Czech Republic, as well as the kick-off event for the RAPTOR 2024 programme.

Thank you again to all the partners and stakeholders with whom we have enrolled more than 100 students in our Masters School; trained 15 000 professionals; implemented 250 sustainable mobility pilots in more than 110 European cities; brought more than 100 innovation solutions to market; and ranked as the most active investor in mobility start-ups, with a portfolio of 127 start-ups, 43% of which are led by women.

Our vision remains clear – to accelerate impactful innovation, drive market development, and connect disruptors with early-adopter cities.
