Thermondo, German market leader for heating retrofitting in detached and semi-detached houses and Climate-KIC Accelerator Alumnus, has secured €23.5 million from the existing shareholders in a C series.

Nordcloud, a Finnish-based cloud services company, has raised EUR 2.5 million in form of a junior loan from LocalTapiola Mutual Insurance Company. The former EIT Digital Accelerator supported company will use the funds to further accelerate their rapid international growth in Europe.

As part of its Accelerator activities, EIT Health provides “one-off” funding of up to 50.000 € for emerging companies and small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) to develop new products and services for areas of interest to EIT Health and its members. The purpose of the funding is to accelerate market entry and create new economic activity.

Following the success of its 2016 Call for Innovation Proposals, KIC InnoEnergy  has reopened the Call for a second phase starting on 1 June.

The EIT is looking to recruit two new members of staff to join its headquarters in Budapest, Hungary.  The deadline for application for both posts is 6 July 2016 (12:00 Budapest time).  The two posts are:
