Project Officer (Interim)

Join EIT as Project Officer (Interim) for the duration of 6 months (with possibility of extension).

The purpose of the new project officer interim staff position in EIT’s Supervision and Monitoring unit is to keep EIT’s Financial Sustainability action plan driving forward, as well as to carry out the tasks listed in the subsequent section.

 Tasks:

  • Supporting the development of a solid methodology for monitoring the progress of knowledge and innovation communities (KICs) towards financial sustainability in collaboration with external experts;
  • Developing standardised indicators and reporting templates in order to improve intelligence in terms of financial performance of KICs;
  • Collection, management and analysis of financial data including revenues, operational expenditure, investments and financial assets as well as statutory financial statements;
  • Serving as focal point within the EIT in the area of KICs’ financial sustainability, compiling reports and overviews to support decision making by EIT management;
  • Managing a pool of external experts supporting the EIT in the field of financial sustainability;
  • Enhancing cooperation among KICs, capacity building and sharing best practices in the area of financial management and financial sustainability.

Professional experience:

  • Experience in managing financial data and financial reporting
  • Previous experience with drafting reports and analytical documents

Advantageous:

  • Experience in working with EU programmes
  • Experience with managing or controlling public funds/programmes

Qualifications:

  • A level of education which corresponds to completed university studies of at least three years attested by a diploma; and
  • Minimum of three years' relevant experience in the field or four years in the case of completed university studies of less than four years;
  • Where justified in the interest of the service, professional training of an equivalent level; 

Language skills:

  • Excellent/Proficient command of the English language (C1 Level based on the Common Framework of Reference Languages)

IT Skills:

  • Computer literacy and in particular good knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Office and Internet

Other Skills:

  • Excellent communication and drafting skills
  • Prioritising and good organisation skills
