EIT Health Campus meets the public at Blodomloppet run in Uppsala

EIT Health meets the public

Representatives of EIT Health Campus at Uppsala University promoted healthy living and health innovation at the public events around the 18 May Uppsala version of “Blodomloppet”, a popular footrace that takes place in different locations around Sweden and is designed to encourage exercise.

Uppsala students ran stands where they took health screenings and engaged the public with information about how to take charge of their own health care. They also shared information about EIT Health. As many of the students were participants in EIT Health Campus, they were particularly able to share information about the many projects run by the Campus programme.

'A key feature of EIT Health’s business is to reach out with information, motivation and innovations aimed at stimulating improved public health. ‘Blodomloppet’ is an event in line with the goals of EIT Health,' said Catharina Svensson, pro dean of medical education and EIT Health Campus Coordinator at Uppsala University.

The activities at the Uppsala Blodomloppet run were in keeping with Campus activities, and efforts throughout EIT Health, to engage citizens with information about healthy living and innovations in healthcare.
