Experienced, dedicated start-up founders in Climate-KIC Germany Accelerator

14 new Start-ups have been accepted into the Climate-KIC Germany Accelerator programme.

This call’s start-ups had a strong solar energy focus, equal share of hardware and software and experienced start-up founders. With 40 teams applying for the German Accelerator, only 14 were accepted.

The new teams include:

  • Mobile Hydro - a low cost mobile hydro-power plant for off-grid areas
  • Lumenaza - a tool for setting up regional green energy marketplaces
  • ecoglobe - a decentralized waste water treatment technology
  • Solandeo - a cost-efficient, smart metering-based service to facilitate the market- and grid-integration of large volumes of small scale renewables
Green Garage

Four new teams have moved into the Green Garage: FlipFlower (hybrid public lighting system as a standalone solution), Lumenaza, Solandeo and TripTrends. With experienced start-up PlugSurfing (e-mobility app) also in the Green Garage, all of the incubation garage spaces are currently filled at the moment. Additional to the Green Garage start-ups, another nine start-ups have been accepted to the Climate-KIC Accelerator.

Next call for Accelerator

The next call for the Climate-KIC Germany Accelerator programme will be held early next year (2015).
