Open call for EIT InnoEnergy Hub applications

EIT InnoEnergy, the innovation engine for sustainable energy across Europe, has opened the Call for Partnerships for businesses to become EIT InnoEnergy Hubs – in-country representatives in Central Europe. Applications are open until 31stJuly 2017.

EIT InnoEnergy Hubs are local offices operated by ambitious partners, who are looking to build their local position, strengthen their business model and become a leading actor in the local ecosystem by playing a role in our European Network.

Successful applicants become part of EIT InnoEnergy’s network with access to business training, employee mentoring and potential funding. The role of EIT InnoEnergy HUBs includes identifying and developing promising sustainable energy ideas, engaging investors and industry, and organising mentoring for EIT InnoEnergy’s community members.

'We are looking for sustainable energy businesses that are passionate about the sector and want to be a part of something big. Successful partners will be a driving force for supporting entrepreneurship, innovation and the commercialisation of game changing ideas.'

We are currently looking for partners to operate EIT InnoEnergy Hubs supported by the EIT InnoEnergy Power Alliance platform in the following countries:

Albania, Armenia, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Georgia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, FYR of Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Ukraine.

Applicants will be judged on their track record and engagement in the local innovation community, the strength of their team and network base, and the scalability of services on offer.

EIT InnoEnergy Hubs are supported by the InnoEnergy Power Alliance – an initiative funded through the European Institute of Innovation & Technology Regional Innovation Scheme (EIT RIS), which is a framework developed to increase the innovation capacity in regions in Europe not directly benefitting from the EIT or EIT InnoEnergy activities.
