Pitch Training for the EIT Awards nominees at EIT Headquarters

EIT Awards pitch training: Woman nominees

The 19 nominees visited EIT Headquarters in Budapest to practice and improve their pitching skills.

Pitch training is an annual event for the EIT Award nominees. They have the chance to visit EIT Headquarters in Budapest, meet the other nominees in their category, and prepare for the jury at the EIT Awards.

The four Award categories are:

  • EIT CHANGE
  • EIT INNOVATORS
  • EIT VENTURE
  • EIT WOMAN

The three finalists in each category will pitch their innovation on 15 October 2019 during the EIT's annual Innovation Forum, INNOVEIT. Afterwards, the winners of the four categories and the EIT PUBLIC Award winner will be announced.

The EIT PUBLIC Award is a special category, awarded to the nominee who received most votes from the online public vote. The public vote started on 2 September and will end on 15 October at 17:45 CET, after the Innovation Tour. Those attending INNOVEIT will be able to vote during the event.

EIT Awards at INNOVEIT 2019

Part of the EIT’s mission is to create an environment that allows entrepreneurship and innovation to flourish - both as a way of thinking and as an activity. To support this, the EIT organises the annual EIT Awards, to recognise and reward the successful start-ups, innovative projects and young entrepreneurial talent that Europe has to offer.

Each year, the EIT Community comes together to celebrate the entrepreneurial and social achievements of its members. By highlighting successful innovations and the teams that created them, the annual INNOVEIT event inspires a new generation of young professionals and enables personal contact with entrepreneurial role models. INNOVEIT also showcases how the EIT can help develop entrepreneurial careers.

INNOVEIT 2019 serves as the EIT Stakeholder Forum. It is an important opportunity to seek input, debate and shape the EIT’s strategic priorities and impact under Horizon Europe, the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation 2021-2027.
