EIT Digital Challenge 2023: Your chance to unleash the potential of your digital business

Digital scale-ups looking to boost their business are invited to compete in this year's digital innovation challenge! EIT Digital is launching the tenth edition of its flagship competition for European digital deep tech companies: the EIT Digital Challenge.

The Challenge provides a platform for companies to showcase their innovations and succeed internationally. Fast-growing start-ups with existing customers - also known as scale-ups - are invited to apply if they are developing digital solutions in one of these focus areas:

  • Digital Tech
  • Digital Cities
  • Digital Industry
  • Digital Wellbeing
  • Digital Finance

The deadline for applications is 28 March 2023.

The EIT Digital Challenge is a fantastic opportunity for European deep tech start-ups to gain access to the resources and support they need to reach their full potential. We will select up to twenty finalists and invite them to participate in a pitch competition that will take place in Brussels in June, alongside the Grow Digital conference.

Diva Tommei, Chief Innovation and Education Officer of EIT Digital

Up to ten winners will receive a full year of tailored international growth support worth EUR 50 000, provided by the EIT Digital Accelerator. That includes help raising their next Series A or B round from strategic international investors with the support of an experienced Access to Finance team, leveraging EIT Digital's 300+ network of top European corporations and 1 000+ investors, SMEs, universities, and research institutions.

The winners will also get coaching on their market readiness and go-to-market strategy. They'll get the support they need to meet their international ambitions and gain international visibility through EIT Digital's communication channels.

The EIT Digital Challenge award was an important recognition for the Covision Quality team. My advice to scale-ups planning to compete in the 2023 edition would be to clearly and unequivocally state the problem you are solving and its magnitude. Then state how you are solving it and explain why your team and your product are uniquely suited to solve the problem, now, at scale.

Franz Tschimben, CEO of Covision Quality, one of the 2022 winners
