APPLY NOW: EIT InnoEnergy Positive Energy + to alleviate the impact of COVID-19

Alleviating the economic and social impact of COVID-19

Application deadline: 19 April 2020

The objective of this pioneering platform in Spain is to support start-ups in the development of projects, from the perspective of energy and in the fields of environmental sustainability, mobility, social impact, digitization, telecommunications and 4.0.

The initiative, promoted by Enagás, Red Eléctrica, CLH, Iberdrola, BP, EIT InnoEnergy and Acciona, is open for other companies and institutions to join in Spain.

What is Positive Energy +?

Several companies in the Spanish energy sector have come together to fight together against the effects of the crisis caused by the coronavirus in Spain. To do this, they have created Positive Energy +, a pioneering initiative in the country to use innovation as the main tool to offer effective responses to help alleviate the economic and social impact of COVID-19.
This platform is initially promoted by Red Eléctrica, Enagás, CLH, Iberdrola, BP, EIT InnoEnergy and Acciona, and institutions such as Startup Olé, ASCRI and El Referente have already confirmed their collaboration. It is also open to other companies and organizations that want to join.

How does it work?

Participating corporations, through their subsidiaries or technology departments/corporate venturing teams, launch this urgent call to financially attract and support start-ups and scale-ups that have innovative projects that can be launched immediately and developed and implemented in the maximum term of one year. The projects supported must be related, from the energy perspective, to the areas of environmental sustainability, mobility, social impact, digitization, telecommunications and 4.0, and must contribute to mitigating the economic and social effects caused by COVID-19 in Spain.

Each one of the companies will support at least one start-up/scale-up by providing financing for the development of the project and/or by making their innovation, investment, commercial development and structure tools available to them.

The objective is to streamline the project selection process as much as possible so that they can start working from the second half of May.
