The next General Assembly meeting of the EU STEM Coalition will take place on 30 September 2021 in hybrid (partially digital) format.

In a series of interactive presentations and workshops we will explore how STEM education can be connected to broader topics like the transition to environmentally sustainable societies, discuss the importance of Gender Equality in STEM, as well as the latest national developments in how digital skills can be integrated in the primary / secondary level curriculum.

The meeting will include:

  • Keynotes and presentations by high-level / expert speakers and contributors, including European Commissioner Mariya Gabriel, MEP Susana Solis Perez, Alice Fiser (European Institute for Innovation and Technology) and
  • Case study presentations, including an update on a pilot of 'Technology Comprehension': a new informatics subject in Danish primary and secondary education and the 'FabLab'-model used in North Rhine-Westphalia to provide more context to education.
