The EIT is hiring a Communications Coordination Officer and a Strategy / Impact Officer.

The Communication Coordination Officer

She/he will be part of the EIT’s Communications and Stakeholder Relations Unit. This Unit is responsible for the EIT’s external Communications activities, engagement with the EIT’s internal and external Stakeholders, as well for the provision of policy and strategic advice to the EIT Director in developing and implementing the EIT’s communication and stakeholder engagement strategy.  Moreover, it provides the interface for relations with Third Countries and international organisations.

Tasks:

  • Contribute to drawing up, managing, implementing and evaluating the EIT communications strategy and work plan.
  • Manage EIT external communications tools, channels and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the financial and operational management in the area of responsibility, including procurements, implementation of contracts, payments and reporting.
  • Coordinate the co-operation with all EIT Knowledge and Innovation communities and relevant stakeholders in the field of Communications.
  • Contribute to the achievement of the EIT’s objectives through inputs to horizontal coordination activities, teamwork, proactive internal communication and inputs to the work of colleagues.
  • The jobholder may be asked to carry out any other tasks as deemed necessary in the interest of the service.

The Strategy / Impact Officer 

The Strategy / Impact Officer may be placed within the Strategy or the Impact section of the Unit. The Strategy and Impact Unit leads the EIT’s strategy development across its main domains including education, business creation and innovation agendas. The Unit conducts reviews, evaluations and assessments.  The Strategy and Impact Unit leads the development of the EIT Regional Innovation Scheme, the EIT Awards, the EIT Alumni programmes and the implementation of the principles of Innovation Community Financial Sustainability and Innovation Community strategies for financial sustainability.

Tasks:

  • Prepare, develop and implement EIT strategies in different domains, based on the EIT’s Strategic Innovation Agenda (SIA).
  • Contribute to the analysis and assessment of results and impacts of the EIT’s and its Knowledge and Innovation Communities’ activities.
  • Draft and update comprehensive reports, synthesis reports and/or briefings.
  • Develop and coordinate Innovation Communities’ horizontal initiatives run by the EIT.
  • Stay current of the landscape of innovation, education, entrepreneurship and research from a strategic point of view and assess and recommend strategic opportunities.
  • Contribute to the financial and operational management in the area of responsibility, including procurements, implementation of contracts, payments and reporting.
  • Contribute to the achievement of the EIT’s objectives through inputs to horizontal coordination activities, teamwork, proactive internal communication and inputs to the work of colleagues in other units.
