Grant Assurance Officer (Interim)

Join EIT as Grant Assurance Officer (Interim) for the duration of 12 months (with possibility of extension)

Tasks

  • Project/programme management including planning, monitoring, evaluation, project closure and post project activities;
  • Contribute to the financial and operational management in the area of responsibility, including initiating procurement/grant procedures, managing experts/procurement contracts, operational initiation and/or verification and reporting;
  • Coordinate periodical reporting and data analysis in the area of responsibility;
  • Representation and external coordination in the area of responsibility;
  • Grant Management: Contributing to the improvement of overall governance and management and control systems of the EIT and KICs;
  • Coordination and support: Contributing to the assessment of KIC Business Plans and amendments, the assessment of the legality and regularity of the reports provided by KICs as well as ex-post audits, and continuous monitoring of KICs.

 

Professional Experience

  • A minimum of three years’ relevant experience in Budget, finance, contracts and accounting;
  • Experience in the field of EU grant management.

 

Qualification

  • A level of education which corresponds to completed university studies of at least three years attested by a diploma

 

Advantageous

  • Experience gained in or with an EU body in the field of financial and contractual files

 

Language skills

  • English (at least B2 level)
  • Second EU language (at least B2 level) 

 

IT Skills

  • Office automation tools (e.g. excel)

 

Other skills and competencies

  • Financial regulation and procedures;
  • Knowledge in the field of management and/or control of EU funds;
  • Knowledge in at least one of the following EU policy areas relevant to the work of the EIT: innovation, entrepreneurship education, or start-up support;
  • Administrative and analytical, interpersonal and networking skills;
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, logical and structured manner;
  • Capacity to deliver results in a structured way;
  • Ability to work in a team as well as in a proactive and autonomous way;
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to respond quickly to new demands.
