EIT Health CCentre

More than 100 executives and professionals trained

The CCentre, an EIT Health Campus project has announced a successful 2017, noting that they trained more than 100 executives and professionals from several countries last year. The project has also released three new videos describing its work.
'CCentre: Towards Citizen-Centred Ageing and Well-being' employs an innovative narrative educational format for healthcare service providers based on older citizen’s personal stories. It focuses on making innovation happen for professionals and executives.

In 2017, the project offered four different courses, including two pilot courses specifically focusing on innovation in healthcare: 'Ageing for Innovators' , organised by Newcastle University and 'Customer Orientation in Healthcare Organisations: A Mindset Approach', organised by Erasmus University, Rotterdam. A third pilot course, organised by GISME-UB at the University of Barcelona, focused on cascade training methodology, called 'Ensuring the Self-Orwnership of Older Persons: Innovative training for a society of all ages'. The Leyden Academy on Vitality and Ageing gave an international course on innovation for entrepreneurs called '(Re) Discovering Seniors'.

The whole consortium will be working in 2018 to foster another educational product that can best be tailored to older persons’ needs and desires and put them at the centre of healthcare services.
