Inspired by the World Microbiome Day (27 June), EIT Food is joining regional forces with the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT) to host the 'Let's ACTinEITFood event: Microbiomes and Our Food System'.
Microbiomes are in, on, and all around us. Although we still know very little, what we do know and understand so far is that the microbiome has significant impacts on our health, on the food we produce, on plants and animals and on ecosystems in general. Unraveling the complexity of the microbiome offers enormous potential for innovation and will fundamentally change the way we manage our planet’s resources to sustain our food and improve our health.
